DOLCE FAR NIENTE

EXTERNAL COMPETITION BRIEF

Within my final year at NTU we were given the choice to enter a vast variety of external competitions as part of our degree. This particular competition’s brief was to find 5 sources from the British Library as well as your own to create a cohesive collection for the up and coming designer Supriya Lele. I thoroughly enjoyed creating a collection that I could find inspiration from old family holidays and clothing attire to bring in an element of sentimental value that I believe is driving the current circular fashion trend today.

As part of the competition we were set with the task to research into the brands market level. This was to ensure we acknowledge their aimed customers needs whilst developing an understanding of the brands gap in the market. This is a vital part of the Fashion Design course that I meticulously invest my time and deeply enjoy the process of, as I believe it develops collections that are compellingly original and offers audiences what they currently desire. This research can be seen underneath the portfolio slideshow below.
